You deserve a beautiful, eye-popping smile! If chips, cracks, stains, or other dental flaws are ruining your smile’s aesthetics, you could be a candidate for veneer treatment. By covering flawed teeth with veneers, we can make cosmetic imperfections disappear to give your smile a gorgeous, flawless appearance. A visit to Stein Family Dentistry in Spokane, Washington, can kick-start your journey to perfecting your smile with cosmetic dentistry veneers.    Â
In this post, Dr. Andy Stein and our cosmetic dental team share six reasons you’ll love veneers:
Veneers are ultra-thin, porcelain shells designed to improve your smile’s aesthetics. They’re bonded to the surface of imperfect teeth to give your smile a smooth, polished appearance. Once bonded to your teeth, veneers become a permanent part of your smile, instantly transforming its aesthetics! Veneers can bring out the best in your smile in just one dental treatment.
One of the greatest attributes of veneers is their customization. Porcelain veneers are custom-crafted from impressions taken of your teeth, matching their size, shape, and color perfectly. They’re meticulously fitted over the surface of your teeth to blend in seamlessly with your smile, giving it a natural look and feel. Veneers can be used to correct one tooth or many to create a smile you can be happy with. Â
Veneers can correct an array of cosmetic issues in the same treatment, including:
Your cosmetic dental concerns are no match for the transformative power of veneers!
Veneer treatment can be completed fairly quickly, often within a matter of weeks. The process doesn’t involve surgery or major alterations to your teeth. Dr. Stein will, however, have to remove a thin layer of enamel from your teeth to accommodate your veneers. Afterward, we’ll take impressions of your teeth and send them to a lab where your veneers will be created. This process can take several weeks. When your restorations are ready, we’ll bond them to your teeth permanently to complete your treatment.
Porcelain veneers are quite durable and will strengthen chipped and cracked teeth, making them more resistant to damage in the future. They’re designed to withstand the pressure of biting and chewing, without suffering undue wear. Porcelain veneers are also stain-resistant, making it easier to maintain your radiant smile for years! Longevity is another reason to love veneers. With good oral care, they can have a lifespan of over 15 years!
Veneer upkeep consists mainly of daily brushing, flossing, and routine dental cleanings. To help your restorations last longer, we recommend you avoid chewing on ice, eating hard foods, and using your teeth as tools.
