Introduction
Dr. Pearce, a Chicago native, and her western Montana born husband recently put down roots in Spokane. She and her husband are outdoor enthusiasts and have been enjoying hiking, skiing, and camping with their kids. Dr. Pearce is currently a part time professor, teaching dental students rotating through Spokane from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She feels very fortunate to have met Dr. Stein through a dental colleague and could not be more excited to join Stein Family Dentistry. She and Dr. Stein share the same passion for continuing education biomimetic and are both practice ethical patient centered care. She is also excited to keep learning about digital dentistry while using all of the new technology Dr. Stein incorporates into his practice.
Dr. Pearce received her bachelor’s degree in biology from The Ohio State University and then continued her education there at the College of Dentistry where she earned multiple scholarships and participated in clinical research. After graduating with honors from dental school, she completed the prestigious general practice residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. The residency was an intensive one year training program where she gained experience in treating patients with complicated medical histories while performing complex restorative and prosthodontics procedures. Since then, she has been building experience in private practice. After practicing in Chicago for 6 years, she spent 2 years in Los Angeles.
Upon arrival to LA, she sought a practice that offered the highest standard of care using modern technologies and materials, including collaboration with the best dental laboratories and technicians. When she met Dr. Abdi Sameni at the USC Restorative Dentistry Symposium, she knew she had found the perfect fit. Dr. Sameni is an expert biomimetic and aesthetic dentist with strong academic ties to the school of dentistry at USC. He lectures internationally and is truly an innovator of the profession. Dr. Sameni mentored Dr. Pearce during her time in LA. She is grateful to him for his continued mentorship, for inspiring her, and teaching her the principles of biomimetic and aesthetic dentistry.
Dr. Pearce has adopted biomimetic principles to her practice and believes the “less is best” philosophy. The less surgical intervention to the teeth, and the fewer teeth worked on, the better. The healthiest option for every patient is what nature provided. Dr. Pearce has brought minimally invasive equipment and techniques with her from California to Spokane and will be focusing her practice on modern preventative, minimally invasive, and aesthetic treatment modalities. She has a passion for continuing education, which she attends regularly and can be viewed on her CV.

Beyond the Practice
I try to look at the glass as being half full and look at the your outlook on life. Just try to be positive every day. If you can think about one thing that happened that day, that was positive or something that you enjoyed about the day. And, just try to keep the negativity out and surround yourself with people who uplift you.
